3 fixtures against 3 of the strongest Clubs in the North East and one against a Baabaas team. First up was Morpeth where the girls tackled very strongly but Morpeth’s strength in the ruck finally saw them home 4-1 with 2 late tries.
Next up was Tynedale with an almost carbon copy of the Morpeth Performance, again competed well and scored but ultimately a stronger more experienced team won out in the end.
The last game was against Ryton where the girls again competed fiercely but lost narrowly 2-0.
The girls were all a credit to Alnwick rugby club and displayed the typical Alnwick fighting spirit. A great day was had by all.
