The Club was extremely pleased to have young Tom Pickering of Hexam lead out the first team for their match against West Hartlepool on Saturday. Five year old Tom has just started his rugby career with Tynedale's under 6's. Tom and his family joined us for lunch prior to the match and Tom was involved with proceedings throughout the day.

Tony Stoker of Village Farm Health Club and Spa, our Match Sponsor for the day, generously gave Tom a gift of five tickets for the Falcons so Tom and his family could attend an Aviva Premiership match, with Alnwick Club President Dennis Hetherington looking on.

Tom brought along a gift for his favourite player and presented his box of Jelly Babies to Jonny Burn with Dennis and Rob Cuthbert in attendance.

Earlier, Club Sponsor MSP's Commercial Director Tony Brown and Technical Director Peter Hammond gave Tom the gift of a Batmobile car.

Meanwhile Alnwick's John Davidson, Under 9's coach representing our Mini/Junior Section presented Tom with a junior strip and hat.
