Alsager Town returned from the Fylde coast with a crucial three points against their relegation rivals.
With little between the sides, the visitors upped the tempo in the final quarter hour with Jonathon Beaumont scoring the decisive goal in the 85th minute following some good work by Leigh Skellern.
Manager Scott Dundas was delighted with the win, particularly given his side's lack of preparation, saying, "We didn't get to the ground until 7.30pm due to traffic and only had a five minute warm-up. The kick off was put back fifteen minutes so the lads did a great job given the circumstances".
