Alsager Town came from behind to maintain their one hundred per cent record on the road this season with a 2-1 victory at 3rd placed Whitchurch Alport in the Hallmark Security League First Division on Tuesday evening.
The visitors went behind in the 52nd minute when Alport's Kevin Street was fouled by Warren Holmes inside the area, Alex Hughes netting the resultant penalty. However, Alsager hit back in the 65th minute when Kyle Diskin who is currently on loan from Newcastle Town bent a free-kick around Alport's defensive wall into the bottom corner of the net. Diskin displayed his dead-ball specialism again ten minutes later when he struck the winner directly from another free-kick.
