HALLMARK SECURITY LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION.
Saturday 10th December 2016
ALSAGER TOWN 6 AFC BLACKPOOL 1

Alsager Town reached the halfway point of their league campaign with a thumping 6-1 home victory against lowly AFC Blackpool in the Hallmark Security League first division on Saturday afternoon.
It was a comfortable afternoon for the Bullets who were leading 4-1 at the break and two further goals after the interval made it an afternoon to forget for the visitors who were on the end of a 6-0 drubbing in their previous outing.
The three points moved Alsager back up into fourth spot in the league table with 43 points from 21 games as they look to push on to secure one of the two automatic promotion places in the second half of the season.
With Peter Heler away on holiday and Troy Bourne suspended until the new year, there was a return to the side for midfielder Kyle Diskin, who had made four appearances as a dual registered player, but is now on a month's loan from Newcastle Town.
The home side were in front by the 9th minute, Taylor Attrell finding the net after initial efforts by Michael Lennon and Dave Harry had both been blocked. Jonathan Kapend made it two in the 19th minute, heading home Dave Harry's cross in from the right.
Richard Tomlinson reduced the arrears for the visitors in the 26th minute, but Attrell restored the two goal lead seven minutes later after Lennon had jinked his way through the Blackpool defence. Kapend scored his second in the 36th minute after again being set up by Harry and with the Bullets creating chances at will, Blackpool were perhaps relieved to have only conceded four at the half- time whistle.
With the result a formality, Kapend was denied his hat-trick after missing a penalty, with Mark Grice (85) and substitute Leigh Skellern (87) adding the fifth and sixth in the closing stages.
Alsager Town: Fletcher, Minton, Stubbs, Diskin, Taylor, Holmes (Bowden), Harry (Skellern), Attrell, Grice, Lennon, Kapend (Vickers).
Attendance:45.
Next game: Saturday 17th December v Daisy Hill (A).
