Many of you will already be aware that there are proposals in place regarding building new changing facilities, (including a physio room and gym), improve the floodlighting and in the longer term enhance the internal aspects of the clubhouse. They also detail funding both available and required to undertake such projects. The proposals have been well received by the committee and club in general. Most importantly a number of club members have now joined the Development Committee. The new Development Committee has been meeting regularly and agreement has been reached on who would contribute to each of the various workstreams. These workstreams break down into two specific areas, with the respective team leaders as follows. A: Facilities Development Project - Dave O’Hagan Communications - Graham Makepeace-Warne PR - Mike Massey Facilities Upgrades Plans & Costings - Dominic Leach Business Planning - Dave O’Hagan Fund Raising - Mike Wildgoose Grants & Loans - Kate Morley B: Ongoing Club Mananagement & Development - Dave Elliott (This includes the Whole Club Development Plan and Whole Club Seal of Approval.) The following club members have volunteered to assist as team members within the various workstreams: Alec Forbes, Alice Leclerq, AmyDutton, Anne Huscroft, Barrie Thornburn, Chris Smith, Dennis Mallileau, Dos O’Sullivan, Gareth Worbury, Gav McDarmaid, Jean Forbes, Jerry Connolly, Jim Purcell, John Bingel, John Wilkes, Kate Morley, Lee-Anne Cardus, Mike Wright, Peter Whyley, Pip Thomas, Steve Richardson and Wendy Thomas. So as can be seen we certainly have had a very positive initial response to AK’s development plans, and we now ask that all club members give their support particularly in relation to the fundraising events, which will be published in due course. Future editions of RGN will keep you up to speed with progress made in the club development area. We would like to begin an open consultation process through a display in the club house where people can view the proposed plans and leave suggestions and queries regarding the proposed plans. We would also like to invite members and other interested parties to view the development plans listed in the documents section of this website and post any suggestions and queries on this forum.
