Beast from the East didn't stop 1XV from defeating Burnage
Dave Coleman's prolific kicking on point in AK's 23-17 win.
AK1XV (23) vs Burnage 1XV (17)
AK 1XV faced Burnage on Sat 3rd March, hoping to kick on from their great victory away at Wilmslow the previous weekend, with the ultimate aim to start moving up the table and out of the relegation zone.
Both teams giving everything they could muster in the first half, AK finally breaking the deadlock, taking the lead with a penalty kick from the boot of Dave Coleman, continuing his recent run of good form, followed soon after with a try from Micah Dyos, driven over the line by a hungry AK pack, for AK's only try of the day, which was controversially deemed unconverted.
Burnage's penalty count continued throughout the game, which AK swiftly monopolised upon, as Coleman's consistent accurate kicking, secured a further five penalties to AK's tally on the day.
A game with few tries, saw Burnage also bag themselves just the one try, the visitors moving up a gear in the 2nd half and with five minutes to the final whistle were just trailing 17-20, but once again they gave away a penalty, which Coleman solidly put away, thereby sealing the 2nd win on the bounce for the Timperley based club.
Final score AK 23-Burnage 17

Next week AK1XV travel away to Blackburn who are sitting fourth in North One West League North 3pm KO
With the 2XV & 3XV's matches both falling foul of the bad weather, games to be rearranged for a later date, they have no fixtures next weekend.
