Burneside have become the 2nd team this season to withdraw their 1st team from the Westmorland League Division 1 following on from Lunesdale United earlier in the season. Both teams records have been expunged from the league table.

Statement from the Westmorland League

At our League Management Committee Meeting last week, Burneside informed us that they were no longer able to raise 2 sides and requested that they be allowed to withdraw their first team from Division One. Although we were reluctant to go against our Rules, it was felt that in light of the earlier overruling by Westmorland FA which allowed Lunesdale United to withdraw their first team, we had no alternative but to agree to this request. The rule will be reviewed in time for this year's AGM.
