2-0 win for Harworth
Frod's 100% record goes
This was always likely to be a very tricky game for the steel men, and so it proved. Frod started very shakily and weren't help by an injury to Clay Bryant in the first 15 minutes with a hamstring pull. A hurried substitution meant putting Conner Purdue ton at left back. Harworth seemed to recognise that we didn't have natural cover at left back and decided to play on this weakness. Frod were under a lot of pressure, but somehow managed to get to half time at 0-0.
A change of left back in the second half, saw the slightly more experienced Ryan Short drop in at left back, and it seemed that it had stemmed the tide a little. That was until a killer ball inside Ryan Short and the centre half, meant Ryan was chasing the winger down from behind, and made a rash challenge which resulted in a penalty award.
Frod then lost Jason Pembleton to injury which made a difficult job even more difficult, but frod slowly forced their way into the game, and were pushing for the equaliser for the final 15 minutes, but in added time (94th min) they were hit on the break by what seemed like a 3/4 yard offside break away for the home sides 2nd goal
