Well after last weeks great result in the Lincs cup in which we started really quickly, it seemed to be back to old habits with a really lacklustre first 20 minutes from Frod. When we settled down and realised where the danger lay, we started to get a foot in the game, and actually turned the pressure round on the opposition. This paid of when a long range ball from Stu Longbone found Brendan O'callaghan, who shrugged of the defenders challenge to put it past the keep from 10 yards. With the wind against us it was good to go in 1-0 up at half time. Unfortunately the only downside from a hard fraught first 45 was the loss to injury of Craig Hunsley. Mick Gray replaced Craig at half time and settled in to the back four well.
Half time 0-1
The second half saw Frod start quicker and better, and on 50 minutes a Superb 30 yarder from Luke Robinson put the steel men 2 up. Unfortunately the 2goal lead lasted around a minute, as a fortunate ball found its way to the edge of the box as a Dinnington player arrived and finished it with a superb strike.
Frod now had to work hard all over the pitch, and with only 1 remaining sub on the bench (which we had to keep in case of injury) would have to see it through without fresh legs, but in the main most players put in a hard working shift to see the game through. The last 15 minutes of the game saw Jason Pembleton cement man of the match with a rock solid display
