The resignation of manager Kevin Brock following Tuesday's home defeat brought to a close the most successful period in Ardley United's history.
Taking charge of Ardley at the start of the 2008/9 season, Kevin oversaw a transformation of the club and built a team that was respected by all opponents as a tough-to-beat yet skillful footballing side. His league record in the 7 seasons plus a few games reads;
Played 286, Won 169, Drew 45 and Lost 72. The team never finished lower than 8th in the table with a best of 2nd in the 13/14 season, in addition to which they won the League Cup twice, the Floodlit Cup once and most memorably won the Oxfordshire Senior Cup in the 13/14 season.
Chairman Norman Stacey paid tribute to Kevin for all that he has achieved during his long tenure as manager and wished him well in whatever involvement he may have in the game in the future.
The team will be managed in the short term by senior players, and potential applicants for the post of manager are invited to contact the chairman either by phone; 01869 810141 or 07711009198, or by email; email@example.com
