It is Ards Rugby's intention to build a strong and lasting relationship with the Natal Sharks, Ards Rugby will take advantage of the opportunities available to our aspiring young players and give them the chance of a life time to attend the Sharks academy in 2017.

For ten years, Richard de Jager was the Natal Sharks rugby development director, it is his team of international coaches that will put the players and coaches through their paces.

As a first step Ards Rugby and the event sponsors (Drilling Pumping Supplies, Fraser Houses @ Rivenwood, Lambert Smith Hampton, The Stove Yard and Peninsula Print & Design) have invited the Sharks Academy coaching team to hold a training camp at Ards Rugby Club on the 29th,30th and 31st July 2016; this will consist of:

Friday 29th, 630 - 930pm: Coaches Masterclass; rugby coaches from all schools and other clubs are invited to attend (£25 per coach, includes tea/coffee on arrival, burger & refreshment post event)

Sat 30th & Sun 31st, 1030 - 130pm: Natal Sharks Summer Camp; U14 (including current Yr8), U16 + U18 age group, open to ALL rugby players from any school or club (£50 per player, includes Sharks Summer Camp t-shirt)

Sat 30th, 7pm - 1am: 'An evening with the Sharks' - a black tie event in the clubhouse with guest speaker former Springbok and Sharks Coach Thinus Delport (£25 per head, limited numbers, selling fast)
