Ulster rugby's most successful minor league team Ards 4ths aka 'The Black Knights' will representing Ards and Ulster Rugby in an over 30's international tournament in France at the end of May.

The Black Knights will play teams from France, England, Wales and Italy in the International Veterans Festival of Rugby at St.Savin over the weekend of Fri 29th May - Mon 1st June.

A touring party of 30 Black Knights will be travelling to St.Savin led by:

Tour Captain - Stuarty Stevenson. There was only ever going to be one man nominated who could fill this position and deservedly so. For all the hard work, organisation and cajoling he does to ensure the Black Knights turn out every week. Stu's energy & eloquence are second to none.

Tour Chairman - Worky. The ideas and delivery man. Came up with the Knights concept 10 years ago, our Club President and key driver for the St. Savin Tour. We are a very lucky club to have him.

Tour Judge - Right Honourable John McKeag. An Ards legend not to be crossed. There will be little leniency shown by Judge McKeag when doling out fines or forfeits!

Tour Jury - Iain Moles, Andy Matchett, Stu Stevenson & Cyril Stocker. More years experience than Chrissy Allen can count on his calculator. Be afraid ..be very afraid!

Tour Choir Master - Bryan McFarland. Known for his vocal talents and leading tour sing-songs. Be prepared to know and sing the following Tour Songs : Danny Boy, Black Velvet Band & Wild Rover!
