Congratulations to Club sponsor Leslie Hughes in becoming an Officer of the British Empire for services to the insurance industry and to the community in Northern Ireland and Dennis Nash in being awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the community and charity in Newtownards.

Both men really deserve these awards and Ards Rugby has a vested interest in both men.

Leslie for many years through his business, Hughes Insurance, has been one of the main sponsors of the club, he is also personally heavily involved in the way forward for Ards Rugby.

Dennis is a former player, current club member and a leading light in the FARLS, he has tirelessly promoted Ards Rugby through local media via his 'Chronicle snippets' in the Newtownards Chronicle and through his many contacts province wide in local sport.
