Ards Head Coach Dave Irwin recently invited top Ulster referee David Wilkinson to Hamilton Park to speak to the Ards Senior Squad about onfield discipline and his experiences refereeing in the European Champion's Cup.

David spoke well and even admitted referees make the odd mistake...but more importantly at this level they rarely change their decisions due to the lack of a TMO or assistant referees!

His advice was....get back 10 metres and address any matters through your captain!!

The question and answer session was light hearted and for some unknown reason 1st XV 2nd row Gareth McBurney had plenty of questions for Wilko.
