Snow continues to stall fixtures!
Tomorrow's game is almost certainly to be called off
As you can see from the two pictures, Armthorpe Welfare's Church Street ground is still covered entirely by 3-5inches of snow.
The pictures were taken at 3:30pm this afternoon, and with the current forecast, there is no way the pitch will change.
The NCEL Management Board have stuck by the league rules, even in these exceptional circumstances, and have refused to allow clubs to call games off today.
Armthorpe Welfare in no way want to cancel any games, after all, why would we be involved in the game if we were just wishing for postponements! But in these circumstances, accompanied by photographic evidence, we would have liked to have called out a referee today and have them make a decision.
Unfortunately, we have to wait until 10am tomorrow at the scheduled pitch inspection, before any action can be taken.
