LSC Group has chosen to continue its sponsorship of Armed Forces sports by supporting the Team Army initiative established to improve and grow Army sports.

LSC Group proudly sponsors the Army Golf and Army Rugby League activities, and will be partnering with Team Army during 2011 and beyond encouraging funding and promoting the Army sports network.

This partnership is indicative of LSC Group’s continued support of Armed Forces sporting initiatives. Indeed, LSC are also proud supporters of the Royal Navy sponsoring the Royal Navy under 23’s football team.

Joining forces with these Army and Navy initiatives underpins LSC Group’s enthusiasm to give back to our Armed Forces.

Sport is critically important to the morale, welfare and operational effectiveness of Army personnel, whether serving overseas or recovering from injuries sustained in combat.

Army sport is supported by the private sector and in return offers sponsors value beyond brand exposure and corporate entertainment. Our industry partners become involved with Army sports at the level they choose while engaging with the senior officers who not only manage the sports but also lead the Army.

Team Army represents the collective appeal of Army sports to the private sector through sponsorship contracts backed by sound business justification, distributing grants to Army corps and sports associations.

Team Army is endorsed by the UK Ministry of Defence’s Army Board (ECAB). We work in partnership with the Army Sport Control Board, which regulates all sport played in the Army, removing the significant administrative burden from Army sports associations.
