GUIDELINES TO RFU REGULATION 15 – AGE GRADE RUGBY
The RFU has prepared the following guidelines to assist in the understanding, interpretation and implementation of its Age Grade regulations.
APPENDIX 2 - U19 VARIATIONS
The RFU has issued a number of Law Interpretations and Variations for all players who are under the age of nineteen years old at midnight on 31st August each year.
MIDI RUGBY (UNDER 11 AND UNDER 12)
Players and match officials must endeavour to ensure the iRB Laws of the game, modified by the following playing rules, are observed when playing Midi Rugby at Under 11 and Under 12.
MINI RUGBY (UNDER 9 AND UNDER 10)
Players and match officials must endeavour to ensure the iRB Laws of the Game, modified by the following playing rules, are observed when playing rugby at Under 9 and Under 10.
MINI TAG (UNDER 7 AND UNDER 8)
Players and match officials must endeavour to ensure the iRB Law of the Game, modified by the following playing rules, are observed when playing rugby at Under 7 and Under 8.
New IRB Law Interpretations 2010
The laws of rugby exist to allow the game flow and function properly. However, this can lead to concerns over the interpretation of these laws.
