Summer Camps

We are just starting our Summer Camp planning, Your opinion NEEDED please!!

We are just starting our Summer Camp planning, after having a conversation with 2 parents this weekend it’s very apparent that we need to get your opinions on when this summer’s camp/s should happen, and whether it’s purely rugby or all different activities. These camps are for you, so your opinion on when and what we run is very important. We were looking at the 3rd week of the summer hols, (don’t forget the Olympics start that week) but if you wish us to run them, more often? Different weeks? What ever your preference, please let use know ASAP, so we can get it out to you before the end of the season or at the latest before the end of May.

Please let us know
Brian and John

Any camps in the Summer, whatever weeks, would be good, as long as I have plenty of notice to plan other childcare around them.
I think a mixture of activities would be good. I think the younger wones would find a full week of rugby maybe too tiring?
Also, an extended day - perhaps between 8.30am - 5.00pm would fit better with alot of people's working patterns. I would be prepared to pay more for this.
    Thanks

A Summer camp is a fantastic idea. The holidays can tend to drag and incorporating some Rugby and other activities would be a great idea. It would help with continuing to build on the team spirit built up through the rugby season as alot of the lads loose touch over the summer.
Instead of just concentrating on one week which may exclude some of the lads if holidays are planned etc, . would it be possible for a couple of days spanning over a number of weeks instead of concentrating it in one week ? We are new to this so if that would not be feasable I completely understand, it was just a thought.
Can i extend my thanks to all the coaches that have dedicated all their free time to coach and support our kids through the Rugby season. Without them volunteering we would not have such a great array of teams at Ashfield. Thanks so much to you all.

Hi i,m with Melanie on this i think a couple of days each week or perhaps just 4 weeks would better . If you are able this would be great, and were open to any activities i think a summer camp out for the whole club would be a fantastic idea too .

    Hi all

Thanks for the feed back, we are looking into offering 1 day a week through the holidays and may be 2 day rugby camp towards the end of the holiday. The make up of the days will be days out somewhere in the Peak District and local attractions. Thoughts please.

We are going to have activities days during the next holiday at the begining of June, just waiting for flyers should have them early this week

I think that sounds a brilliant idea...Everyone will have a chance to attend at least one of the days then.
