Ashford CC's first All Stars Cricket programme proved a big hit with its young participants and their parents.
Focused and fun
During the 8-week programme, which is aimed at 5-8 year olds, 12 All Stars registered with Ashford CC (plus regular attendance by Allstars' siblings and a few other late additions) had fun learning fundamental physical skills through cricket-themed games. Each session comprised warm-up games, activities linked to batting, bowling and fielding and time devoted to cricket-based games.
Mums and dads get involved
The sessions proved rewarding fot parents too, who took active roles in supporting their children during the sessions.
Four more fun Sunday mornings...
Following the positive feedback received for the programme, lead All Stars Activator Jim Berressem will be running 4 more one-hour sessions on Sunday mornings 30 July, 6th, 13th and 20th August. Sessions will start at 11am and are open to Ashford CC All Stars and Under 9s.
Note: parents must remain at the club for the duration of the sessions, and will be encouraged to get involved and help enhance their child's experience.
If you are interested in attending any of the four forthcoming sessions, please let Jim know (firstname.lastname@example.org; 07890 811254).
