Sat 16th April, home league game

Ashington welcome "Novos" to the recreation ground

Looking to finish the season as high in the league as possible Ashington welcone Novocastrians to the recreation ground this saturday. With 3 games left Ashington have set a target of 3 wins from 3 to secure fifth place in the league. Novocastrians, now safe from the threat of relegation, are sure to be thinking that they can also win the game and themselves will be looking to secure a high mid table position. Hopefully all the trappings of a good game. Ashington are virtually at full strength for the first time in many weeks and will be in confident mood for the sponsored game on saturday. Both clubs are looking to next season and this game will be a good chance to them to try a few new things and play open, unhibited rugby, something that is not always possible during the mid season slog to secure valuable league points. KO 3pm. Ashington 2s and 3s are also up against Novocastrians, with both teams making the return trip to Sutherland Park. What odds a clean sweep for the blue and yellows!
