12:15 win at Sheppey

On a typical Sheppey day, 14 of Ash's fittest veterans crossed the bridge onto the island.
Choosing to play up hill, but with the wind behind us, with the loan on an aging Sheppey winger to bring us up to 15, Ash took the game to Sheppey ( much aided by the wind).
Conditions were so bad that 2 normally easy penalty kicks for Kirk were blown wide.
The pressure counted with Ash scoring a try through Ross but the wind taking the extra 2 points.
Badly out scrumaged, it was up the backs to work the magic, with Kirk, Lord Spanton and Llewellyn linking well. But it was Dave and Hoppy that combined to increase the lead, but again the wind claimed the extra 2points.
Sheppey came back with a well deserved try after a period of sustained pressure.
The wind dropped, and suddenly the advantage was back with Ash and the slope.
Some great work by Ross, Warner, and the other forwards drove the ball down the pitch towards the try line. A quick penalty and we were 3 tries up thanks to Kirk.
A frantic final 5 minutes saw Ash desperate to kill the game off as age caught up with lungs and limbs.

Real old skool rugby.
