Membership and Code of Conduct

To follow up our recent email concerning forms and fees, we felt it would be useful to provide you some information upon team administration.

The football club has obtained Charter status of which it's very proud. This requires it to run a tight ship as it were and part of the essential process is player registration, for a number of reasons, not least so that everyone remains insured in the event of an accident or injury. We also promote and adhere to codes of conduct, which are essential if we're all to work together and respect each other, ultimately to the common good of our children.

Therefore, we would be pleased if those that haven't already done so could complete registration forms and read the code of conduct and complete these also, returning both to Michael or I. Once this has been done there is no need to fully repeat the process year on year.

Upon money matters, we appreciate everyone's efforts to keep subs up to date, which makes Michael and my jobs so much easier. At some point soon however, we're considering moving to a direct debit arrangement now we've got the team bank account up and running, which we anticipate would make all our lives simpler still. We'd welcome your thoughts, although note we'll move to such an arrangement from next season in line with the older age groups.

We've recently made the decision to collect the annual club membership fee, which we'd resisted at the beginning of the season whilst seeing how funds would stretch. We've been reminded by the club that membership fees should be collected annually as part of the membership process and this allied with the additional expense of the hire of the indoor halls for training has played a part in this decision. With a prolonged cold period forecast, there could be a few more indoor sessions and the membership fees will be very helpful.

We've had some really generous assistance from County Contractors in paying for the team strip and hopefully there will be more sponsorship to come to assist with covering the cost of equipment.

We really believe that by the end of our first season we'll have had a great year and the foundations will be set for seasons to come.

Many thanks for all your help so far,

Michael & Paul
