Spartak Friendly - November 2011
The boys and girls of Ashton Boys U6 embarked upon their potentially illustrious footballing careers with their first friendly games last November.
On a fresh frosty morning the sun came out to welcome the young players of Ashton Boys U6 for their first games of football against Spartak.
Upon an immensely enjoyable and rewarding morning the boys and girls of Ashton Boys U6 did their managers and coaches proud with really gutsy performances full of team spirit and collective endeavour. Unfortunately, this wasn't quite sufficient enough to register Ashton Boys U6 first goal, although we're sure this is imminent, and the games ended (approximately) 7-0 and 3-0 respectively.
Nevertheless, it was clear that the players were learning minute by minute and really enjoying themselves.
Well done all - onwards and upwards.
