Town travel to Chesterfield based side, Staveley Minors Welfare in the world's greatest domestic cup competition, the FA Cup.

Having missed out the chance to play in the FA Cup in recent years, John Brownrigg's men hit the road on Saturday in the competitions Extra Preliminary round.

Town's opponents, Staveley Minors Welfare, beat Glasshoughton Welfare in the NCEL league last night in good preparation for Saturday's game.

Staveley play in the equivalent of a league higher than Town having gained promotion three season's ago by finishing top of the NCEL Division One in 2010/11. They then went on to have a fantastic season in 2011/12 finishing in 5th place, and last season they finished 13th.

Staveley have started the season pretty well under manager Neil Cluxton, playing three games in total, winning two and losing the once, the loss being against the much fancied Bridlington Town 4 - 0 in the opening league fixture.

A relatively new side having been formed in just 1989 Staveley hit the limelight two season's ago by reaching the FA Vase Semi final, however in February of this year nearly the entire first team left following the resignation of then manager, Billy Fox.

Admission on Saturday is £4 Adults and £2 concessions, and for travelling Town fans the post code of Inkersall Road is S43 3JL.
