Bamber Bridge were a Division One side last year and showed their pedigree against Ashtons new team who battled hard for their three tries. Three late tries to the visitors skewed the result a bit , in what looked like a very competitive game in this Merit league for new teams.
Very encouraging for the club to have a new influx of players during the summer, this coupled with the emerging Girls Rugby Union U13s and 15s who got some more new players on friday are keeping a buzz around the club, new players are very welcome for all teams.
RL trainging is Tuesday/thursday 7pm, Girls training Friday 6pm.
