Ashton win Lancashire Bowl with a 26-10 victory over Birchfield

Ashton had the wind at their backs and put Birchfield under pressure with Jacksons clever kicking game always keeping Birchfield guessing. A penalty try converted by Jackson and a second try from Neil Oldham , beautifully put in by Matt Worthington made it 26-5. Birchfield were always dangerous and got a try with 10 mins to go, but Ashton played to the last whistle for a magnificent win. Congratulations to the lads and it was great to see a large travelling support of both adults and junior players.
