Ashton u14s went to Oldham and ran deserved winners.

Ashton u14s travelled to Oldham and ran out deserved winners.
Q1 and Ashton began to take control straight from the first whistle. a quick one/two move between Hershon and Kennerly saw Hershon easily dispatch his effort. It was not long before it was 2, when Newall popped up on crease in acres of space.Three further goals and it was 5-0 at quarter time.
Q2. Coach Newall assisted by stand in Coach, Tony Walker Snr put the brakes on the eager Ashton team, urging the boys to get the ball moving around the whole of the attack, thus bringing new boys Simiran Patel and Josh Beresford more into the game, more dominance came and Ashton led 7-0 at half time.
Q3 Ashton continued in the same manner and newby Josh Beresford was picked out at the side of goal by Newall and put away his chance. Asparkling performance by Holt, back in goal, after a weeks break, but could not stop Oldham getting their only goal.
Q4. 10-1 going in to the last quarter, Ashton still maintaining discipline moving the ball swiftly around the goal, they managed to breach the Oldham goal a further two times, the final score was 12-1.Another amazing show by the defence, hard work in midfield and some super finishing.Man of the Match was new boy Josh Beresford, great stick handling and a super goal.
