Hurst Cross

Hurst Cross has been the home of Ashton United since 1879, and as such is one of the oldest continuously used football grounds in the world. The main supporters' entrances are via the turnstiles on Surrey Street (assuming no crowd segregation). The ground has two covered stands and is fully terraced on all four sides. It currently holds the FA 'C' Grading.

Stadium Capacity

Total Capacity - 4500

Seated Capacity - 250 (seats available in the covered Sid Sykes (main) Stand and Sponsors' Lounge)

Standing Capacity - 4250

Covered Accomodation - 750 (standing cover available in the Popular Stand, seated cover in the Sid Sykes Stand)

Segregation is very rarely enforced at this level. If segregation does become necessary away fans will usually be housed in the Lees Road End of the ground and enter via this turnstile. This is an uncovered terrace. Should segregation be advised visitors should first check the details with their own club, and then contact Ashton United for any further information.
