Ashton United will be aiding the Great Britain Deaf Football Team in their preparations for a European qualifier by playing them in a friendly match.

The game will take place on Sunday 19th August at the Manchester Communication Academy, Silchester Drive, Harpurhey, Manchester. Kick off will be at 2pm. The academy is the new home of the Manchester County FA and is located on Silchester Drive, just off Rochdale Road.

This will be a great chance to see Ashton face off against a national game XI, plus an opportunity to see first hand the most successful Deaflympic football team in the world - having won the title a record six times and currently ranked as the world's no 1 team for the sport.

The game is part of a training weekend that Team GB are holding in Manchester as they prepare to face Greece in a European qualifier in September. They will also be facing Hyde FC Under 21s on August 18th at Egerton Youth Club.
