This Saturday The Non-League Paper will be following Ashton United to the Exacta Stadium to see them take on league rivals Chester in the FA Trophy.

The Robins lie mid-table in the Northern Premier League Premier Division after a mixed start to the season, which has seen them win five and lose seven of their opening 15 fixtures.

One of those defeats came at home to Chester in early September and they will be hoping for a better result when the two sides meet for the second time this term.

They will take a lot of confidence from a morale-boosting 2-2 draw at Chorley this week but Chester are riding the crest of a wave at present, having won eight of their last nine matches.

However, league form goes out of the window in knock-out competitions and both clubs will be gunning for a victory that would pocket them £2,200 and a place in Second Round Qualifying.

With those two desirable prizes at stake, it promises to be an engaging afternoon of football and for that reason, The NLP has selected it as one of their FA Trophy feature games this weekend.

That means an extended 450-word report, action images and increased post-match reaction.

So if you can't make it down to the game, want to read a different take on the contest or simply want to catch up on the latest Non-League news, make sure you pick up a copy from your nearest stockist on Sunday!
