Ashton United are pleased to announce the second trial date for the Ashton United Football Scholarship Scheme which will be at Hurst Cross on Thursday 16th April 2015 starting at 10am.

The scheme is delivered in partnership with Oldham College, at their campus in Oldham, and will provide a first class educational programme couple with the opportunity to progress through all levels of football most suited to the ability of those taking part.

Ashton United Vice Chairman Steve Hobson said;

"This is a very exciting partnership from which we hope to be able to introduce quality players into our club. Our Management Team has already demonstrated this season that they will give youth a chance if they are good enough, with four members of our Reserve squad, all under the age of 20, making their First team debuts. Engagement with the scheme offers a clear football pathway, initially into non league football and potentially into the full time professional ranks!"
