Today we welcome Macclesfield Town. Here’s some information for our visitors.

Everything you need to know for your trip to Ashton United FC

Ashton United are delighted to be hosting Macclesfield Town for a pre-season friendly as both clubs continue their preparations for the new season.

If you are a Macclesfield Town fan travelling to the game and aren’t sure about what we have to offer at Hurst Cross, then don’t worry. We’ve got you covered!

Free on-street parking is available, but this is limited in the immediate vicinity of the ground as it is in a residential area. There is also a small car park located behind the Rowley Street End for use by visitors to the ground.

Please respect our neighbours by observing any no parking cones and being careful not to block access for local residents.


Nearest Railway Stations:
Ashton-under-Lyne Station (0.8 miles from ground - Train service direct from Manchester Victoria and Huddersfield stations).

Stalybridge Station (1.7 miles)

Please check with train operators for exact timings

Nearest Bus Station:
Ashton-under-Lyne (opposite Ashton train station) - Bus service to ground via numbers 331, 333 or 393 (regular services).

Metrolink Service available to Ashton Bus Station
Approx 10 minutes journey time by bus to Hurst Cross.

The stadium also has full wheelchair access for any supporters with special needs and if you need any additional help, we’re happy to provide it.


At Hurst Cross, we’re proud to have a very friendly club bar for everyone to enjoy themselves before, during and after the match.

Whether your side has won, drawn or lost, everyone is always welcome in the bar for some post-match drinks and entertainment.
