Excellent 'value-for-money' offer to fans.

Ashton United have organised three very competitive home friendly matches in the lead up to the new season; and to encourage fans new and old to attend the fixtures and have a look at what might be on offer for the coming season the club has reduced admission prices by 50%!

The fixtures in question are:
Hyde FC (Wed 16th July - K.O. 7:45pm)
Warrington Town (Sat 26th July - K.O. 3pm)
Barrow AFC (Sat 2nd August - K.O. 3pm)

Director Steve Hobson said; "At £5 adults and £3 concessions you can expect good value for money, particularly given the quality of the opposition we are to be facing."

Hyde, who last season were relegated from the Conference Premier Division, will no doubt be wanting to show that they are 'top dogs' in Tameside, and that they can put together a team to challenge for a return to the top flight.

NPL Div. 1 North Warrington Town narrowly missed out on promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier Division last time out and will be bolstering their squad for an all out bid to go up as Champions this time out. The return to Hurst Cross of former club captain and Manager (albeit short term) Craig Robinson together with a couple of other former Robins in the Wires squad should add more spice to the tie.

The Bluebirds of Barrow will this season be making an all out assault on the Conference North Championship. A former Conference Premier club they have been somewhat in the doldrums for the last couple of years, but this has all changed in the close season with the club being taken over by a former son of Barrow, a successful businessman now resident in the United States. The club has seen massive investment off the field of play and the influx of top quality players in pre-season is a further indication that they mean business on the pitch as well.

All in all the home pre-season programme at Hurst Cross looks very interesting and the ideal platform for the Robins to begin their own assault on a League Championship. Come on down and show your support!
