Ashton get out the Satnav and head North to Workington. Preview by Joel Sanderson-Murray

Ashton United’s 0-0 draw with Barwell on Saturday has seen the team’s unbeaten run in the league extend to four games. Following the disruptive start to the season it seems some consistency has been found and the Robins can prove they have fully turned a corner by gaining a good result at Workington on Tuesday night.
United have put together some solid results in the last few weeks following the upheaval the change of managers and loss of players had caused on the squad.
Following the three straight losses at the end of September Ashton have gone unbeaten in games against Coalville Town, Grantham Town, Halesowen Town and Barwell, winning two of the clashes.

It will be tough for The Robins to continue this recent solid form on Tuesday night as they travel to Workington AFC for a 7:45pm kick off. The game will likely see some new faces turning out for the Robins as the management team continue the squad building process.

Borough Park is always a tough place to visit even if Workington have not started the season on fire, with the team currently sat in 14th place on 18 points coming off the back of a run of 1 defeat in 5 games.

Ashton have found it tough playing Workington of late, battling it out for a playoff spot last season The Robins lost the two fixtures against Tuesday’s hosts, including a 5-2 loss at Borough park.

It will take a resolute performance on Tuesday night for The Robins to change the recent form against Workington.

For those wishing to travel to the game on the official team bus, get yourselves down to Hurst Cross for 3pm.
