We face our local rivals in the Manchester Premier Cup, Written By, Robbie Coppack

The Robins are in action again this coming Tuesday night as Jody Banim prepares for the first round of the Manchester Premier Cup with a trip to Mossley. The Lillywhites come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw away at Clitheroe where the side scored a last minute equaliser to deny Mossley all three points.
This Manchester Premier Cup tie could be seen as a welcome distraction to the league form where The Robins have failed to pick any points in any of their last two games with narrow defeats to Workington and Hednesford Town at Hurst Cross. Jody Banim has voiced his concern at the lack of playing squad available but the performances in the defeats is also on the gaffers mind.
“We can’t use that as an excuse today (injuries). We were poor all over the pitch, poor decision making, we are trying to play out from the back a couple of times and we’re giving the ball away in terrible areas and obviously we given them a goal by making a mistake.”
One to Watch:
Mossley this week re-signed Mike Fish for a fourth time and the 32 year old forward has quite the record for The Lillywhites. The fan favourite has scored 86 goals in 237 appearances and the experienced forward is quite the journeyman making moves from Stalybridge Celtic, Curzon Ashton, Stocksbridge Park Steels, New Mills, Brighouse Town and Colne.
