Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division Ashton United is renewing the search for the position of Commercial Manager at the Club. The successful applicant will provide new business income for a thriving and ambitious football club, as well as achieving continued support for its current excellent sponsors. Remuneration package is negotiable.

Chairman Dave Aspinall said, ‘This is our second attempt to recruit a suitable candidate. I am disappointed in the response so far particularly when we hear from the media about so many people out of work these days. Here we have a position with the flexibility that would suit the modern day lifestyle. If someone doesn’t want to work full time, long hours it is an ideal second job, or a way to top up a pension or redundancy, yet the response has been particularly poor.

Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are attracting investment in the club by way of sponsorship and other general fundraising activities, including ground advertising, programme advertisements and match sponsorships, together with increasing membership of the club lottery. The successful applicant will also boost income with current advertisers, as well as secure new business.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required
Experience of working within the football, sports, or the sales industry would be beneficial though not essential.
Experience in sales, cold calling would be an advantage.
