Ashton United Needs Help From The Fans To Reach Third Place & Guarantee a Home Play-Off Semi-Final!

Who could forget the atmosphere at Gigg Lane when we overcame FC United in extra time?
- Steve Hobson, Vice Chairman.

Ashton United need the extra support from the fans. Tuesday's win over Witton Albion was driven by the vocal support from the terraces getting behind the lads when they fell behind to an early screamer.

Last seasons run in saw massive support for the Robins relative to the overall attendance figures. It is estimated that some 400 to 500 fans were cheering for Ackers and Phillo's men in the play off semi final with a whole bunch of those turning out for the final too.

Vice Chairman Steve Hobson said; "The lift given to the boys by the increased support was immense. Who could forget the atmosphere at Gigg Lane when we overcame FC United in extra time? I have had many great times in football and that was up there with the best of them."

The club is calling on all Robins fans and any neutrals to get along and support them. With this the final home game to go the prize is a home tie on Tuesday in the play-off semi-final and your club needs you!

This can be our year and we need our twelfth man more than ever. Ask yourselves can you do your bit?

The game today against an in-form Rushall Olympic kicks-off at Hurst Cross at 3pm.
