Robins v Droylsden

Ashton United head to FC Hyde's Ewen Fields on Monday night to contend the Manchester County FA Cup with local Tameside rivals Droylsden. The game is set to be a cracker with both teams keep to upstage the other in the local bragging rights.

Ashton United go into the game as underdogs by virtue of the fact that they play a league lower than Blue Square Conference North Droylsden, but make no mistake that will count for nothing as both teams look to add the first piece of silverware to their trophy cabinets for this season.

Ashton United have chartered a double decker bus, courtesy of the generosity of a number of Directors, and will be offering free transport to the game for our loyal band of supporters.

The game kicks off at 7-30pm rather than the usual midweek time of 7-45pm. This is probably a effort on the part of the county FA to accomodate any extra time and/or penalties that might be needed to settle the tie.

The bus leaves Hurst Cross at 6pm.
