    Ashton lose out narrowly against Ormskirk.

    The early passages of play saw Ormskirk press hard as you would expect from the home side. They went close early doors from a 5 metre scrum but knocked on when a try looked likely. Ashton settled and began to make use of a stiff breeze on their backs. They made a good break from midfield but centre Ben Ainsworth dropped a pass and the chance went away. View News Item »

    Ashton below par in defeat at home to Port Sunlight

    Ashton went into this game against Port Sunlight with high expectations but a poor display saw them defeated by four tries to one, losing by 28-8. Ashton started brightly and got the first try after 3 minutes from scrum half Mike McCarthy who forced his way over the try line at close quarters after a tremendous drive by the Ashton pack.
