The Covers Stadium will welcome Chichester City for the 1st Round Proper of this season's FA Vase competition. In the draw, made this morning (Mon 26 Sept) Ash United were paired with Chichester City.

This will be our third home draw in the competition. Our previous two opponents were from the Hellenic League and travelled from Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire respectively, whereas Chichester City will be travelling up country from the south coast.

They currently play in the Premier Division of the newly-named Southern Combination, which was, until very recently, known as the Sussex County League.

Chichester City have not got beyond the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Vase for the previous 3 seasons, so we find ourselves in something of a parallel situation.
