TEMPORARY MEASURES IN PLACE FOR GROUND
Askern Villa has arranged temporary measures until the end of the season, after vandalism put the club’s future in jeopardy.
The Hospitality cabin which had its window smashed has now been cleaned up and the windows have now been boarded up. It will now become the refreshment bar and Hospitality room will now be at the cricket pavilion or in Askern Welfare.
Work at the ground has now come to a stand still at the moment due to the weather.
On a positive side, no damage was done to the floodlights and the changing rooms and all electrics have been tested and passed.
The club are looking for funding to replace the damaged items and secure the ground in an attempt to stop the mindless vandalism the club has suffered over the last 12 month.
