The end of the regular season approaches for those clubs in the Iggesund Cumberland league and for Aspatria, their last home outing is this Saturday against Kells.

Aspatria will be hoping to regain some pride after their mauling at the hands of Ellenborough last time out and they know that a much better performance will be needed as Kells have been on a good run of late, demolishing Lowca and Broughton respectively.

It is fair to say that this has been a long and gruelling season due to some good cup runs and the way some of the fixtures have fallen.
