Do you want to play in the RWA Margaret River 7s comp 25 February?
As part of the Rugby WA Pre-Season program, Associates will be sending a 7s team to compete in the Open Men's division at the inaugural Margaret River 7s Tournament on February 25th.
The Associates 7s programme was initiated in the 2011 Season to provide Soaks players the opportunity to participate in leading 7s tournaments against top players from Australia and abroad. The programme's first competitive outing at the 2011 Central Coast 7s, the first stop on the Australian 7s circuit, saw Associates eliminated in the Plate Semi-Final after a close fought game against Sunnybank, who defeated Australia in the Cup Final.
The Margaret River 7s is the first tournament for the 7s Programme in 2012, with other domestic and international tour dates to be announced by the Club in the coming months. The carnival involves a weekend trip to Margaret River, with accommodation provided.
The 7s squad currently trains at:
6:30pm on Wednesday evenings at Allen Park and
8:30am on Saturday mornings at the Nedlands Rugby Ground.
Any players interested in playing are invited to training at these times. Any enquiries please contact Steele West on 0488 330 382.
