U12's at Guildford 7's tournament
U12's great day out at Guildford Sevens tournament.
SOAKS Under 12's competed in the annual Sevens tournament at Guildford Grammar School. The round robin pool stage saw victories against Bunbury Barbarians and Kalamunda, with a loss to a very strong and physical Wanneroo team. SOAKS succeeded in progressing through to the Championship qualifying finals as one of two best placed runners up in the pool stages, due to the 4 try bonus point scored against both Bunbury and Kalamunda. The qualifying finals saw SOAKS lose to both Palmyra and Joondalup, with a win in the second fixture against Rockingham.
On a hot sunny day the team performed well from the first game to the last, never giving up - despite picking up a number of injuries along the way. A number of great tries were scored with the forwards and backs combining well and playing some great Sevens rugby.
