Following the poser about the 6 players who have been registered since 1991, it was noticeable who played on the 1sts and 2nds this week
With many players making themselves unavailable to travel to Bridgnorth, skipper Darren Hamilton had to prevail on the goodwill of senior players Steve Dyer, Ian Davis, Mankit Yau, Neil Galsby, Paul Plant and Paul Bradley to step up to the 2nd XV and plug the gaps.
4 of these (Steve, Blue, Mankit and PB) were all first registered back in 1991 and Neil and Paul have both played for us for at least as long.
Not content with playing on the 2nds, PB was also named as one of the 1st XV replacements, and having completed his 2nd team match, Paul then came on to replace the injured Tom McNamee for the last 10 minutes of the 1st XV game.
AOE are very fortunate in having such longstanding Club players who are prepared to put the needs of the Club before themselves.
