It is with profound sadness that we have to report that Sean has passed away

Sean, an AOE, who was last season's 2nd XV Player of the Year, who also represented both the the Rugby Club and Cricket Club at 1st team level, sadly passed away on Wednesday. Our thoughts are with Sean's family and friends at this tragic time.

Sean's family have posted on Facebook :-

"To those of you who may or may not have known, Barnaby's dad was diagnosed with Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma Primary Brain Cancer just a short while ago.
It is with great sadness that I must share the news that he has passed away.
On the morning of Wednesday the 11th of July, he suffered a seizure which lead to him being on life support and it has been confirmed this morning that there is nothing more that can be done.

The swelling caused irreparable damage and his brain stem died. This morning his death was legally confirmed and we said our goodbyes as a family.

Sean wanted his organs to be made available to others and we have honoured his wishes. Hopefully many others can take something positive out of such a tragic event.

Thank you for all the kind words already received. It means a lot to us to know that he was so loved by so many.

As a family we know that Sean had many friends but we haven't met many of you. It would be comforting if you could share you favourite memories of him on this post so that we can record them for his 3 year old son Barney to read in the future.

We will use his facebook page to provide details of his funeral as and when that can be arranged and all are welcome to come"
