Athersley Rec are back in NCEL action after the pleasant interuption of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup midweek. This fixture is the only home league fixture of the entire month, so a win in front of our fans is all that is wanted.

'The Wilderness Boys' are currently positioned in 6th, with 22 points from 15 games. Over the last five games, they have recored 3 wins, and 2 losses. Including a fantastic away win vs AFC Emley.

Grimsby Borough are experienced members of the Baris NCEL, having been promoted from the Central Midlands League back in 2008, despite only finishing 12th. But Borough have never looked back and have been a constant fixture in Division 1 ever since.

The Rec have a had great morale boosting week with 2 wins this week, and 2 clean sheets. We, of course, want to end this week on an high, and carry on riding high in our maiden NCEL season.
