Potter on the 3-2 defeat to AFC Liverpool

Its been a tough start for Luke Potter has he got his Athersley Rec reign underway with 2 tough Games against Bridlington Town and AFC Liverpool, But Luke seems optimistic going into Saturdays game away to Clipstone with the teams performances in the first 2 games. After the defeat to AFC Liverpool Luke had the following to say on the game .

"We Played well for massive parts of the game, The lads were outstanding.
After a nervous start their confidence grew and could tell in the way we played in possession off the ball.
The first goal was a combination of good team play with a great finish by Lee Garside.

Just basic errors let us down and all of the oppositions goals could of been avoided, But we will keep working as a unit and team to strive to progress.

We have a few tired bodies from sunday as it was a couple of the lads first start in over a month. We've also got another couple of knocks, Dan Vinten and Kyle Wordsworth but hopefully both will recover and be fit for the weekend."
