Last night Wasps hosted a forum for all Coventry and Warwickshire clubs to discuss their reasons for making Coventry their new home and to explore ways in which they can support grass roots rugby. 44 out of the 46 clubs in the area sent representatives which is in itself a great welcome to Wasps and one which was very much appreciated.

Three key reasons were given for Wasps deciding to move to the Ricoh:

1) The Ricoh offers World Class facilities both on and off the pitch

2) Coventry City Council has been very supportive in making sure the move could happen as part of their own vision to make to use rugby to build a better city

3) Wasps see this area as a fantastic rugby area, the heartland of English rugby

Those clubs that attended the meeting last night proved that we are indeed a strong rugby area.

Wasps want to break records with their opening match against London Irish on 21st December with a capacity crowd and to assist in doing this they have put together a deal for all Warwickshire Clubs for tickets to this match and three further matches.

All Warwickshire clubs have been offered a 10 for 8 ticket offer which applies to seated Category 3 tickets only,

Adult tickets cost £20,
Junior and Young tickets (aged 10-21) cost £10
Children Under 10 get a free ticket with every Adult ticket bought

If we buy blocks of 10 tickets we will get 2 of those tickets free. This means that we can reduce the cost of the tickets accordingly.

In order to benefit from this offer, tickets must be purchased through the club. There is a deadline by which those purchases must be made so we need to know if you would like to buy a ticket and have the money up front by Saturday 29th November. Please let Julie Douglas know

We know that we have a number of Tigers fans in our club however we would like to encourage you to take up this offer. We see Wasps coming to our area as a great opportunity particularly for our mini and junior sections.
